In addition to representing the interests of SMIN Power Group LLC, Dr. Mubenga hoped to promote awareness of the STEM DRC Initiative.

The STEM DRC INITIATIVE is a non-profit organization promoting education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Scholarships for higher education are awarded to qualifying student applicants.

The mission of the STEM DRC Initiative is to encourage students in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to become innovators, educators, and leaders in the Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) fields.

It is expected that graduates in these fields will be able to apply their education to find solutions to the challenges we face in DRC and in Africa, while fighting global climate change.

The official launch of the STEM DRC Initiative will be on June 19, 2019 in Kinshasa DRC when the next scholarships will be announced.
