L’innovation et la recherche technologique n’est pas une affaire qui ne concerne qu’une certaine catégorie des personnes ou des peuples. Celle-ci est à la portée de tout celui qui est désireux de voir un changement s’opérer autour de lui.
C’est dans l’optique d’améliorer son environnement que la congolaise, répondant au nom Sandrine Ngalula Mubenga a voulu faire la différence. Ingénieure en électricité, elle est la conceptrice de la voiture à hydrogène. Elle est aussi et surtout, depuis 2011, la fondatrice et la CEO de l’entreprise SMIN Power Group qui a pour objet la conception, et l’installation des systèmes solaires et énergies renouvelables. L’entreprise est basée aux USA, mais dispose également d’un bureau à Kinshasa depuis 2013.
Entre l’électricité et elle il y’a une belle histoire d’amour, car elle a failli mourir par manque de cette dernière, et pendant 3 jours elle était entre la vie et la mort. Elle compte à son actif un bon nombre d’action, avec plus de 14 ans d’expérience dans son domaine et plusieurs prix à son actif, notamment : en 2008, l’université de Toledo, aux USA lui a octroyé le prix de la meilleure recherche de Maitrise du département de génie électrique, en 2009, l’association des Congolais de Washington DC, lui a octroyé le prix « Nkoy Merit Award », Toujours la même année, l’association « les Amis du Congo » basée à Boston lui a décerné le « Congolese Merit Award ». En 2010, Sandrine Ngalula a également été nommée « Young Engineer of the Year » par le prestigieux Institut des ingénieurs en électricité et en électronique (IEEE). Ce dernier lui a remis un certificat l’année suivante, en guise de remerciement pour tous les services rendus, afin de faire avancer la profession d’ingénieure.
L’épouse et la mère de 3 enfants, a su se démarquer et envisage depuis 2016, à implanter sa société dans toutes les provinces de la RD Congo, pour rendre l’accès à l’électricité plus facile aux populations et créer plus d’emplois pour ses compatriotes.
